The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
