Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the glorious morning light; 1 and the brooding night! 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
