T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 What is that in your right band, O Moses?" 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
