Hizb 46
< random >
And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 You and whatever you worship 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 we are they that give glory. 166 They used to say before: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
