The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the pages are made public 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
