Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
