The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the midmorning, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
