Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 So you and your deities 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 we are the rangers, 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 And leave them for a time. 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
