Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 we are they that give glory. 166 And surely they used to say: 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
