Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
