۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 'Why do you not help one another? 25 In fact this day they have all surrendered. 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 Saying: "It were you who imposed yourselves upon us." 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 we had no power over you; but you yourselves were a rebellious people. 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 You will indeed taste a painful punishment, 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 a variety of delicious fruits; and they shall be honoured 42 in the Gardens of Bliss. 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 A bowl shall be made to go round them from water running out of springs, 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” – 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 Then he will say, "Shall we look for him?" 54 Then he will look downwards, and will see him in the depths of Hell. 55 'By Allah' he will say, 'you almost destroyed me! 56 “And were it not for the munificence of my Lord, I too would have been seized and brought forth (captive)!” 57 What then, shall we not die 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is that better as a hospitality, or the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum? 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 Its fruit like the heads of demons. 65 They will eat from it and fill their bellies with it; 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 They can only return to hell. 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 yet before them most of the ancients went astray, 71 And assuredly We sent among them warners. 72 See how terrible was the end of those who were warned. 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74
