And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
