Say: 'Travel the land and see what was the fate of those who belied' 11 Say, "To whom belongs all that is in the heavens and earth?" Say, "To God. He has taken it upon Himself to be merciful. That He will gather you on the Day of Resurrection is beyond all doubt. Those who have forfeited their souls will never have faith." 12 ۞ To him belongeth all that dwelleth (or lurketh) in the night and the day. For he is the one who heareth and knoweth all things." 13 Say, "Is it other than Allah I should take as a protector, Creator of the heavens and the earth, while it is He who feeds and is not fed?" Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first [among you] who submit [to Allah] and [was commanded], 'Do not ever be of the polytheists.' " 14 Say thou: I verily fear, if I disobey my Lord, the torment of a Mighty Day. 15 "On that day, if the penalty is averted from any, it is due to Allah's mercy; And that would be (Salvation), the obvious fulfilment of all desire. 16 If God sends you harm, there is no one but He who can take it away; and if He bring you good, surely He has power over everything. 17 for He alone holds sway over His creatures, and He alone is truly wise, all-aware. 18 Say: "What could most weightily bear witness to the truth?" Say: "God is witness between me and you; and this Qur'an has been revealed unto me so that on the strength thereof I might warn you and all whom it may reach." Could you in truth bear witness that there are other deities side by side with God? Say: "I bear no [such] witness!" Say: "He is the One God; and behold, far be it from me to ascribe divinity, as, you do, to aught beside Him!" 19 Those whom We have vouchsafed the Book recognise him even as they recognise their own children. Yet those who have lost themselves will not believe. 20
