Believers, obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not turn away from him when you are hearing. 20 And do not be like those who say: 'We hear', though they do not hearken. 21 ۞ The most wicked beasts in the sight of God are the deaf and the dumb who have no understanding. 22 And had Allah found any goodness in them, He would have made them hear; and had He made them hear they would, in the end, have turned away and gone back. 23 O you who believe! Answer Allah (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he (SAW) calls you to that which will give you life, and know that Allah comes in between a person and his heart (i.e. He prevents an evil person to decide anything). And verily to Him you shall (all) be gathered. 24 Beware of sedition, which does not affect the oppressors alone among you, and know that the punishment of God is severe. 25 Remember, when you were few and powerless in the land, afraid of despoliation at the hands of men. But then God sheltered and helped you to strength, and provided for you good things that you may perhaps be grateful. 26 O Ye who believe! defraud not Allah and the apostle, nor defraud your trusts while ye know. 27 Know well that your belongings and your children are but a trial, and that with Allah there is a mighty reward. 28
