The food of the Zakkum tree 43 is food for the sinner. 44 Like boiling oil, it will boil in the bellies, 45 As the seething of boiling water. 46 “Seize him and drag him to the middle of the Blazing Fire, 47 then pour over his head the anguish of burning despair! 48 Taste; you forsooth are the mighty, the honorable: 49 This is the very thing which you [deniers of the truth] were wont to call in question!" 50 Indeed, for those who feared (Allah) is a secure place 51 amidst gardens and springs. 52 Attired in silk and brocade, they shall be arrayed face to face. 53 Thus shall it be: and We shall espouse them to fair, wide-eyed maidens. 54 They will be offered all kinds of fruits, in peace and security. 55 They shall not taste therein death except the first death, and He will save them from the punishment of the hell, 56 an act of thy Sustainer's favour: and that, that will be the triumph supreme! 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Therefore wait (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) – they too are waiting. 59
