Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay, by the Moon 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 As a warning unto men, 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
