The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 while they sat around it, 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
