The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And it is no joke. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
