The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
