We did indeed send Noah to his people and he lived among them a thousand years save fifty. Eventually the Flood overtook them while they were engaged in wrongdoing. 14 But We saved him and the companions of the ship, and We made it a sign for the worlds. 15 And [We sent] Abraham, when he said to his people, "Worship Allah and fear Him. That is best for you, if you should know. 16 You only worship idols besides Allah and you create a lie surely they whom you serve besides Allah do not control for you any sustenance, therefore seek the sustenance from Allah and serve Him and be grateful to Him; to Him you shall be brought back. 17 If you belie me, other nations before you also belied. It is only for a Messenger to deliver the clear deliverance. 18 Do they not see how God originates creation, then reproduces it? That surely is easy for God. 19 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Travel in the land and see how He creates for the first time, then Allah brings forth the next development; indeed Allah is Able to do all things.” 20 He punisheth whom He will and showeth mercy unto whom He will, and unto Him ye will be turned. 21 You cannot overpower Allah, neither on the earth nor in the heaven. None can protect you from Allah nor come to your aid against Him. 22
