Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 and would pray for forgiveness from their innermost hearts; 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23

(5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
