WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 From the right and from the left, in crowds? 37 Does every one of them aspire to be admitted into a Garden of Delight? 38 Never so. We have created them from what they know. 39 So I swear by the Lord of all [the three hundred and sixty (360)] points of sunrise and sunset in the east and the west that surely We are Able 40 to substitute a better than they; We shall not be outstripped. 41 So leave them to engage in vain talk and to amuse themselves until they come face to face with the Day which they are promised, 42 The Day whereon they shall come forth from the sepulchres hastily, as though they were to an altar hurrying. 43 With lowered eyes, disgrace overcoming them; this is the day, which they had been promised. 44
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej). Sent down in Mecca after Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah) before The News (Al-Naba')
