The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
