And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 And then cometh that which they were promised, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do." 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 And thy movements among those who fall prostrate. 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
