And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
