The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
