۞ We bestowed aforetime on Abraham his rectitude of conduct, and well were We acquainted with him. 51 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: what are these images to which ye are cleaving? 52 They said, “We found our forefathers worshipping them.” 53 He said: 'Truly, you and your fathers are in clear error' 54 They said, 'What, hast thou come to us with the truth, or art thou one of those that play?' 55 He said, 'Nay, but your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who originated them, and I am one of those that bear witness thereunto. 56 And [he added to himself.] "By God, I shall most certainly bring about the downfall of your idols as soon as you have turned your backs and gone away!" 57 Then he broke them all into pieces, sparing only the supreme one among them that they may possibly return to him. 58 They said: Who has done this to our gods? Most surely he is one of the unjust. 59 They said, "We heard a youth talk of them: He is called Abraham." 60 Said they: Then bring him before the eyes of the people, perhaps they may bear witness. 61 They said, "Have you done this to our gods, O Abraham?" 62 He replied, "I think the biggest among them has broken the smaller ones. Ask them if they are able to speak". 63 Then they turned to themselves and said: Surely you yourselves are the unjust; 64 And they were utterly confounded, and they said: Well thou knowest that these speak not. 65 (Abraham) said, "Do ye then worship, besides Allah, things that can neither be of any good to you nor do you harm? 66 Fie on you and on what you serve besides Allah; what! do you not then understand? 67 They said, 'Burn him, and help your gods, if you would do aught.' 68 Allah said, "O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham." 69 And they wanted to harm him, but We made them the worst losers. 70 and We saved him and Lot and brought him to the land upon which We had bestowed Our blessings for all the people of the world. 71 And We gave him Isaac and Jacob in addition, and all [of them] We made righteous. 72 and appointed them leaders to guide by Our Command and We revealed to them to do good deeds, and to establish the prayer, and the giving of charity, and they were for Us worshipers. 73 We bestowed upon Lot sound judgement and knowledge, and We delivered him from the city that was immersed in foul deeds. They were indeed a wicked people, exceedingly disobedient. 74 And We admitted him into Our mercy. Verily he was of the righteous. 75

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
