The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
