Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Noble and recording; 11 Who know what you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
