The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 And the day when it shines in brightness, 2 And by Him Who created male and female; 3 surely your strivings are divergent. 4 As for one who gives [to others] and fears [God], 5 and believes in the truth of the ultimate good 6 So We will very soon provide him ease. 7 But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, 8 And disbelieveth in goodness; 9 So We will very soon provide him hardship. 10 When he falls (into Hell), his wealth will not help him. 11 It is indeed for Us to show the way, 12 And verily unto Us (belong) the End and the Beginning. 13 So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing. 14 No one will burn in it but the most wretched, 15 who rejected the Truth, calling it falsehood and turned his back on it. 16 But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- 17 Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 and confers no favour on any man for recompense, 19 only seeking the Face of his Lord the Most High; 20 He verily will be content. 21
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
