We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 And the earth have We spread out wide - and how well have We ordered it! 48 And of everything We have created pairs; perhaps you will take heed. 49 Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 50 And set not up with God another god; I am a clear warner from Him to you. 51 [But] thus it is: never yet came any apostle to those who lived before their time but they said, "A spellbinder, ["sorcerer" is he,] or a madman!" 52 Have they inherited such dealings with the Prophets from their predecessors or are they a rebellious people? 53 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy, 54 Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith. 55 And I have not created the jinn and mankind but that they should worship Me. 56 I desire of them no provision, neither do I desire that they should feed Me. 57 Surely Allah is the Bestower of all provision, the Lord of all power, the Strong. 58 And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day). 59 And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised. 60
