We rescued the Israelites from the humiliating torment 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And We vouchsafed unto them signs wherein was a manifest favour. 33 These people say, 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 “Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!” 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them because they were indeed Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.). 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
