The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 Abasing exalting. 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 And the mountains will be powdered to dust. 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 18 Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication. 19 Also, they will be served with the fruits of their choice 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 like hidden pearls, 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk nor any sinful speech. 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 The Companions of the Right 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 Gushing water, 31 And fruit in plenty 32 Neither ending nor forbidden. 33 And couches raised up. 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 And made them virginal, 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 for those on the Right, 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
