It is He Who subjected the earth for you, therefore tread its paths and eat from Allah’s sustenance; and towards Him is the resurrection. 15 Do you feel secure that He who is in heaven will not cause the earth to swallow you, the while it rocks? 16 Do you feel secure that He who is in heaven will not loose against you a squall of pebbles, then you shall know how My warning is? 17 And already had those before them denied, and how [terrible] was My reproach. 18 Do they not see the birds above them with wings outspread and [sometimes] folded in? None holds them [aloft] except the Most Merciful. Indeed He is, of all things, Seeing. 19 Nay, who is there that can help you, (even as) an army, besides (Allah) Most Merciful? In nothing but delusion are the Unbelievers. 20 Or who is it that could provide for you if He withheld His provision? But they have persisted in insolence and aversion. 21 So is one who walks inverted upon his face more rightly guided, or one who walks upright on the Straight Path? 22 Say: 'It is He who produced you, and appointed for you hearing and sight and hearts; little thanks you show!' 23 Say, "It is He who has scattered you on the earth; and it is to Him that you shall all be gathered [on the Day of Resurrection]. 24 And they say: When shall this threat be (executed) if you are truthful? 25 Say thou, [O Prophet:] "Knowledge thereof rests with God alone; and I am only a plain warner." 26 But when they shall see it nigh, the faces of those who disbelieve shall be sorry, and it shall be said; This is that which you used to call for. 27 Say: "See ye?- If Allah were to destroy me, and those with me, or if He bestows His Mercy on us,- yet who can deliver the Unbelievers from a grievous Penalty?" 28 Say: "He is (Allah) Most Gracious: We have believed in Him, and on Him have we put our trust: So, soon will ye know which (of us) it is that is in manifest error." 29 Say: 'What do you think. If your water should sink into the earth in the morning, who then would bring you running water' 30
