Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble, recording, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
