The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of the late morning, 1 and the brooding night! 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
