And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
