I do not need to swear by what you see 38 And what you do not see, 39 most surely, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 40 It is not the speech of a poet little do you believe 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer. Little is it that you reflect! 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 43 And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name, 44 We would certainly have seized him by the right hand, 45 and would indeed have cut his life-vein, 46 And not one of you would have withheld us from punishing him. 47 And indeed this Qur’an is an advice for the pious. 48 And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Quran). [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 29, Page 68] 49 it will be a source of bitter regret for those who deny the truth -- 50 yet indeed it is the truth of certainty. 51 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty. 52
