Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
