The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By the racers, panting, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
