Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

O CHILDREN of Israel! Remember those blessings of Mine with which I graced you, and fulfil your promise unto Me, [whereupon] I shall fulfil My promise unto you; and of Me, of Me stand in awe! 40 And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me. 41 Do not mix truth with falsehood and do not deliberately hide the truth 42 And be steadfast in prayer; practise regular charity; and bow down your heads with those who bow down (in worship). 43 ۞ Do you bid other people to be pious, the while you forget your own selves - and yet you recite the divine writ? Will you not, then, use your reason?! 44 Seek help with the Salat and fortitude: no doubt, Salat is a hard task but not for those obedient servants, 45 who reckon that they shall meet their Lord and that unto Him they are returning. 46

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
