Art thou not aware of thy Sustainer [through His works]? - how He causes the shadow to lengthen [towards the night] when, had He so willed, He could indeed have made it stand still: but then, We have made the sun its guide; 45 Then We hold it in hand for a brief grasp. 46 And it is He who hath made for you the night a covering, and the sleep repose, and hath made the day a resurrection. 47 And it is He Who sent the winds giving glad tidings before His mercy; and We sent down purifying water from the sky. 48 That We may quicken thereby a dead land, and We give drink thereof to that which We have created of cattle and human beings many. 49 And verily We have repeated it among them that they may remember, but most of mankind begrudge aught save ingratitude. 50 If We had willed, We would have raised up in every city a warner. 51 Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur'an). 52 ۞ And He it is Who hath given independence to the two seas (though they meet); one palatable, sweet, and the other saltish, bitter; and hath set a bar and a forbidding ban between them. 53 It is He who created man from water, then gave him consanguinity and affinity. Your Lord is omnipotent. 54 And yet they worship besides God what cannot bring them gain or do them harm. The unbeliever has always been an auxiliary against his Lord. 55 We have sent thee not, except good tidings to bear, and warning. 56 Proclaim, “I do not ask any fee from you for this, except that whoever wills may take the way to his Lord.” 57 O Muhammad trust in that Allah Who is Ever-Living and will never die' Glorify Him with His praise, for He alone is sufficient to be aware of the sins of His servants. 58 it is He who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days [periods], then settled Himself on the throne -- the Gracious One. Ask any informed person about Him. 59 But when they are told, 'Bow yourselves to the All-merciful,' they say, 'And what is the All-merciful? Shall we bow ourselves to what thou biddest us?' And it increases them in aversion. ۩ 60
