Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Say: 'It is revealed to me that a party of jinn listened then said: "We have indeed heard a wonderful Koran, 1 It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone. 2 'And Exalted is the Majesty of our Lord: He has taken neither a wife nor a son. 3 The ignorant fool among us has spoken outrageously against Allah, 4 and we had thought that men and jinn would never speak against God a lie. 5 and that “some from among the humans used to seek protection of some among the jinn, and thus they increased the arrogance of the jinn”; 6 'And they thought as you thought, that Allah will not send any Messenger (to mankind or jinns). 7 "We went near the heavens but found it to be full of strong guards and shooting flames. 8 There, we would sit to eavesdrop, but now an eavesdropper finds a flame in wait for him. 9 And we know not whether evil is boded for those who are on the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth for them a right direction. 10 For some of us are upright and some otherwise: Surely we follow different ways. 11 And we know that we cannot frustrate Allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 So when we heard the guidance we believed in it; and he who believes in his Lord will neither fear loss nor force. 13 And some of us have surrendered, and some of us have deviated. Those who have surrendered sought rectitude; 14 And as to the deviators, they are fuel of hell: 15 And [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant provision 16 so that We may test them by it -- whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord shall be sternly punished. 17 The places of worship belong to God; so call not, along with God, upon anyone. 18 (It has been revealed to me that) When the slave of Allah (Muhammad SAW) stood up invoking (his Lord Allah) in prayer to Him they (the jinns) just made round him a dense crowd as if sticking one over the other (in order to listen to the Prophet's recitation). 19
