Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
