Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
