The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 (And) vaults them over 8 in towering columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
