Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
