The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
