۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds. 80 Would you say that this statement is a lie? 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 If you are true to your claim that there is no Day of Judgment, 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 So if he is one of those who are near-stationed (to Allah), 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
