The people of Nuh (Noah) belied the Messengers. 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 I am a trustworthy messenger for you: 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 109 so fear God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: Shall we put faith in thee, when the lowest (of the people) follow thee? 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they do? 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned." 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 So We saved him, and those who were with him in the laden ark, 119 Then We drowned the rest thereafter. 120 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
